In order to promote awareness of colon cancer and to increase prevention and detection efforts throughout Northern Virginia. Aetna, the American Cancer Society, Inova Health System, and Darrell Green Enterprises have created a multi-year partnership designed to:

• Educate the public about the risk factors for colorectal cancer as well as possible symptoms of the disease.
• Encourage community members to adopt healthy behaviors that can reduce the risk of colorectal cancer.
• Increase regular screening for colorectal cancer of people over 50 and of people, regardless of age, who are at added risk for the disease.
